The new Ciel Concept should not be mistaken with the futuristic Cien Concept that has been launched quite a few years ago. Cadillac has introduced an all new 4 seat concept car that is a convertible one. The car was launched at the Concours d’Elegance at Pebble Beach 2011. This concept car has a number of similar retro cues that have been taken from its past.

This concept car has a touch of historical grandeur. It is also regarded to be a celebration of an open air motoring that is ideally suited to be unveiled on the coast of California. The name Ciel means “sky” in French and it is pronounced as C-L.

This concept car opens a new chapter in the design strategy of the brand that pushes the art and science philosophy of the car makers to new levels. The car has a unique feature of the suicide styled rear doors and the lack of a B-Pillar.

This concept car is one that is a dual turbo-charged one that has a 3.6 liter V-6 engine that is a direct one. This has been found in many of the other car models of Cadillac. In this particular concept car there is a hybrid system that deploys the ion battery technology that is also paired with the above system.

The car has a peak output that contains 425 HP and it also has 430 pounds of torque when the engine functions. This concept is one that is capable of total electric drive forces for going short distances. This makes it ideal for traffic and commuting on a daily basis.

The wheels of the car also look big and massive. These wheels have a measurement of 22 inches and they are also wrapped in 265 mm of rubber. The car has brake rotors that are carbon ceramic and they can be seen behind the rims. This is evidence of Ciel’s high point of performance in its design and this makes the vehicle look distinct.

United States Agency J. D. Power and Associates has published a reliability rating of automobiles, which is based on the results of a survey of more than 80 000 drivers. And it turned out the Americans recognized the Lexus as the best mark this year. Porsche is in the second place, while the top three winners closes Cadillac.

It should be noted that in this case not only the number of breakdowns per 100 vehicles were take into account. Drivers were asked to evaluate his car on 228 criteria. Including indicating problems with the ergonomics, deceived expectations of the owner and so on. In general, absolutely all the criticism and the whims of drivers were taken into account.

According to experts from J. D. Power and Associates, this year there was a serious leap forward in improving the quality of vehicles. Whereas in the past year for every 100 cars on the industry average was 118 criticism, it is already 108 this year. And ten points in just one year is a lot. With regard to the leaders, we can note the progress of Lexus. Even last year, the brand was assessed in 99 reprimands, and this year it is already 84. Due to this Lexus was able to get ahead of Porsche (90 problems per 100 vehicles). Moreover, Lexus LX model received the least amount of criticism among the models – only 52.

In addition, experts note the brand Suzuki – the company has committed a real jump from 32th to 9th place overall.

It’s worth noting the principal losers of the rating of J. D. Power and Associates. It is not strange, but in most of the claims the Americans had against the Mini – about 165 criticisms. Land Rover with 150 overall criticisms does not look too good as well. American drivers are not satisfied with such brands as Smart, Saab, Jeep, Hummer, Chrysler, Mitsubishi, Jaguar, and Dodge.

Cadillac Converj have been presented in this year’s auto show in Detroit. This is a hybrid concept which will help drivers to save gasoline and money, and pollute the air with less harmful emissions.

The concept presented by Cadillac in Detroit called Converj. The novelty is that engineers have introduced a hybrid propulsion system and now the motor works in combination with a petrol unit. Internal combustion engine is only used to recharge the batteries.

The new engine is not very powerful – force produces 160 horsepower . With one charging the battery concept is able to handle distance up to 64 km without gasoline at all. For the electric car this is small distance , but it’s worth to remind that our concept Converj is a hybrid. After 64 km car starting to use it’s gasoline engine and you can drive as long as you’ll wish with gasoline. In garage the owner can charge the car from normal electrical outlet and in three to four hours Cadillac Converj will be ready for new missions. Representatives of Cadillac confident that this system will help driver to save gasoline especially driving on short distances. By the way on the roof of this concept installed solar panels, which will feed the car with solar energy. And again savings!

What can I say , as for me this is wonderful car , I liked the design , it’s simply stunning. At this moment Cadillac is not ready for serial production.
Well we need to wait …
