The E-tron has a Quattro all-wheel drive system. It has independent electric motors at all four corners giving out a combined output of 313 horsepower. For optimal weight distribution, the E-tron utilizes a lithium-ion battery which is located behind the passenger compartment. Producing 4,500 Nm of torque, the two-seater takes 4.8 seconds of time to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hr and it takes about 4.1 seconds to accelerate from 60 to 120 km/hr. With a full charge of the battery, the vehicle can cover a distance of approximately 248 kilometers. The lithium-ion battery provides a useable energy of about 42.4 kilowatt hours.

The drive system and the batteries are controlled by a thermal management system. The batteries can be recharged with household current which consists by the help of a cable and a plug. The charging time for a fully discharged battery is about six to eight hours. The Audi engineers are taking innovative steps in order to make the charging system inductive which will not require any type of cables.

The concept car is hyped to be a functional vehicle for users and car lovers. Since it is a zero emission car it is the latest recruit to the recent environment friendly vehicles that are being released in the market.

This car has the capacity and the range to go from 0 to 60 miles for every hour in about eleven seconds. The car has a top speed of running at 90 miles per hour. This concept car has been developed at Audi Ingolstadt plant. This plant has all the electric motor labs here. Most people who know Audis (i.e. the very people that might have an outside chance of being impressed by this) would agree that A5 and 3.2 stands for the automaker’s worst engine/transmission combination, the slow-revving 3.2-liter V6 that’s already been dropped from the new A4 and the numbskull six-speed Tiptronic box that likes to be in sixth gear by 39 mph. So, besides the raw, inharmonious phony aspect of the body kit (nice fake quad pipes) why on earth bother? Especially as the badge on the back says A5 and the one in the grille says S5. That’s a rhetorical question, because we all know there’s no answer/point. One more thing: the R8 Spyder doesn’t even have side blades. And hey, why not another: the camber on the rear wheel’s all messed up.

This novelty has got four electric engines (two on each axis), the total output is 313 horsepower and maximum torque is 4500 Nm. According to Audi, the supercar concept can accelerate from zero to a hundred kilometers per hour in 4.8 seconds and from 60 to 120 kilometers per hour for 4,1 seconds.
