Bugatti started the production of Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport, which was first presented to the public at last year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California.
This model differs from the previously released Veyron by the removable roof – the driver is able to remove the central part of the roof, which is made of transparent plastic. In addition, the car is equipped with a small soft-top, in case the rain catches up. However, because of this soft top supercar will not be able to accelerate faster than 130 km / h (speed limited electronically). When the roof is closed, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport can reach 407 km/h, while speeds of up to 360 km/h are possible with the roof off.
From a technical point of view of Veyron Grand Sport is no different from the previous Veyron. The model will still have the W16 engine volume 8.0 liters, with four Turbine, which delivers 1001 hp and 1250 Nm.
Some of the new equipments of the car include a 2.7-inch monitor with a rear view camera and a Puccini sound system.
Only 150 open Veyron will be produced, the 50 of which will be sold to registered Bugatti customers. First deliveries are expected in July. According to some sources when the production of Veyron Grand Sport will be completed, the Bugatti will start to make new supercar, which will be revealed as a concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
