It was declared long time back that McLaren F1 is one if most expensive cars. However, as per the survey in 2009-2010, it is well thought-out as one of the most powerful super cars. They have been in this industry since1994 and till now they have a record of making of 100 cars out of which 65 are street versions, 5 cars are LMs which was dedicated to honor the victory of Le Mans, 3 are Gts which was the road versions of the 1997 F1 GTR racing car and 28 F1 GTR are made to hit the roads.

McLaren F1 falls under two doors coupe vehicle. It has a Mid Engine of V12 segment with the power of 6064 cc. Supported by the Torque of 479 lb-ft at 4000 rpm along with the 627 bhp at 7400 rpm horsepower. It has 6-speed manual transmission with the Wheelbase of 107. The length is 168.9 inches and the Width is 71.7 inches. The height of car is 44.9 inches and the weight is 2513 lbs. The speed could be achieved from 0-60 mph within 3.2 sec and the highest speed measured is 240 mph.

McLaren has never compromised with the quality and the Chief Engineer- Gordon Murray still prescribes the usage of expensive materials like: carbon, titanium, gold and he introduced the usage of carbon fiber monocoque chassis for the first time. Mr. Murray has never neglected the Power factor as well.

That is why each of these cars has the power output of 627 horsepower. In this segment, all super cars are equipped with 6 L V12 engine built by BMW, 627 HP with 7400 rmp. These are the factors which makes McLaren F1 as the fastest car in the world before Bugatti Veyron came up.

The McLaren M Eleven B concept was the winner of a design competion by McLaren for final year students of Transport Design at IED (Istituto Italiano di Design) in Turin, Italy.

The brief was to design “A 320 km/h plus sports car” for McLaren, and the car should provide the owner Formula 1 technology for the road and superb dynamic and aerodynamic performance.

The 39 IED students were divided into 14 groups, each presenting a proposed McLaren supercar as a 1:4 scale model.

The McLaren M Eleven B came out as the overall winner, its designers used a wide variety of inspiration, from the animal world to aircraft and racing motorcycles.

Constructed from carbon fibre the McLaren M Eleven B would benefit from Formula 1 style lateral vents, undefloor aerodynamics and exchangeable body panels which could be swapped in favour of more track-biased components. The interior of the McLaren M Eleven B concept benefits from a light and airy cockpitwithexcellent visbility.
