Pre-production of prototype car called Supasse V will be shown at International Motor Show in Tokyo. Weighing 850 kg the vehicle is powered with a 264 hp engine.

This extraordinary car is preparing to launch by the Japanese developer of kit-cars Suzusho. Model Supasse V is designed as a potential competitor to Lotus Exige S260.

During its creation, developers were guided by three basic principles: minimal weight, maximum power, pinpoint control. As a result, the lightness of the vehicle is based on the framework of the double aluminum tubes, shell elements are made of carbon fiber. 2.3-liter L3-VDT engine with turbo fitted on MazdaSpeed3 is expected to give the Supasse V a character of sports car. It reaches 264 hp at 5,500 rpm.

The concept car is combined with 6-speed manual transmission. Suspension of sports car is made by double wishbone both front and rear. 18-inch wheels shod in 245/35 tires of dimension 265/35 front and rear. The length of the car is 3 873 mm, width – 1 953 mm, height – 1 160 mm.

The creators managed to achieve record-low weight – Supasse V weighs only 850 kg in the curb. By the way the car does not look overly technological. The design was developed by Japanese designer Kenji Mimura, well-known designer in Japan for creating a number of cars for race Le Mans.

Production of vehicle Suzusho is planed to start in mid-2010. The cost will be between 50,000 – 80,000 dollars.

Forget about the fact that electric cars drive slowly, and are recharged for hours, the Germans of the E-Wolf ready to tear down stereotypes with their new creations.

The first vehicle is called E-1 and looks like a shark or an éclair on wheels. But once you learn that this Sportcar reaches up to 100km in just 5 seconds, moreover, that inside the electric engine power there are 148 horses, all smiles disappear. And it weighs only 450 pounds.

Some batteries, and their 86 pieces, have a mass of 86 kilograms. But it accelerated, not only to hundreds, and still goes and goes on until you hit the speed of the electronic limiter at 250 kilometers per hour.

Yes, that’s because of this new concept car that Tesla and Fisker have remained far behind in technological development. E-1 is fully charged in just half an hour…

According to the developers, the battery is enough for 300 kilometers, and their lifespan is limited to approximately ten years. Production of E-1 is scheduled for early 2010. If you prefer something more mundane, you should pay attention to E2.

It’s even difficult to call mundane. Enzo or Reventon would look in this way, if they were electric cars. E-2 will be launched in 2011, and it will have four electric engines, one for each wheel. It is expected to weight 900 kilograms.
