Torten Muller-Otvos who spoke from the headquarters of the Company in Goodwood pointed out that Rolls Royce has devised one of the world’s first battery cars that operate on electricity for the ultra luxurious car lover. This vehicle will enable the company to explore the other options of manufacturing process that will help the company to incorporate in its future cars.

Currently the company in conducting tests on the forthcoming car and there also will be a series of test drives that will be conducted before the car finally gets launched in prominent places in the world. With these test drives the company will also record the reactions and the opinions to the alternative drive train options for the cars that it manufactures in future. The brand currently has no plans for the development of the production version and Rolls Royce will deploy the EX model to welcome talks with the present car owners and the stakeholders to understand the acceptance and the feasibility of the working model.

Dealership sources recorded that consumers now are venturing out and investing money in this acclaimed brand. The dealership is also of the hope that there will be more sales in 2011 and Abu Dhabi Motors have reached the number two spot in recording high Rolls Royce profits after Beijing. Rolls Royce that is a part of the BMW brand officially has not stated how many cars that it has sold in the Emirates.

In the year 2008, the car manufacturer has sold about 1,212 cars but it unfortunately experienced a negative decline of about 17 per cent in its car sales last year. The car manufacturer is now on the track of making a significant recovery and sources reveal that the car brand has sold 2000 excess car units worldwide.

There is however one thing to be noted that while the units of the cars that are sold are much higher than the other car makers, the prices are not and this is the reason why the brand is of the positive view that customers are ready to pay whatever it takes to be proud owners of a Rolls Royce!

At Rolls-Royce confirmed that the novelty will be equipped with “smart” suspension that takes signals from multiple sensors and makes calculations of the load every 2.5 milliseconds. Due to this the vehicle is able not only to extinguish the slightest irregularity in the road, but also is able to track the location of passengers and even moving compartment. Moreover, the clearance of the vehicles can be changed within 25 mm to facilitate the embarkation and disembarkation.

Rolls-Royce Ghost, as well as other models of the luxurious brand will be collected by hand at the plant in the British Hoodwood. The production of the vehicle starts at the end of 2009.

“Compact” Rolls Royce, known under the code name RR4, will be oriented for younger audience than Phantom. “The car will be well-sewn sports jacket, rather than the traditional tuxedo,” – said the head of the company Tom Purves.

The name of the model is still unknown. According to rumors RR4 can revive the name of the legendary Silver Ghost ( “Silver Ghost”). On March motor show car will be presented as the EX.

The concept is very close to the serial version. New product will be built on the platform of the BMW 7-Series, but with own engine. In the car will be installed a new V12 unit.
