The car was more than three seconds ahead of the “charged” sedan Cadillac CTS-V, which since May of the last year was considered to be the fastest four-door series car on that track.

The full power Porsche Panamera Turbo hatchback is equipped with a 4.8-liter eight-cylinder turbo engine of a capacity equal to 500 hp and the maximum torque is 700 Nm (with the optional Sports Chrono Package the latter index in short-term regime of boosting up the pressure of the supercharge increases to 770 Nm). According to the manufacturer, Panamera gathers speed in 4.2 seconds and its top speed is 303 kilometers per hour from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour. The “charged” sedan Cadillac CTS-V is replenished with 556-strong 6.2-litre V8 with mechanical blowers.

Along with Porsche Panamera almost the same running time on Nürburgring was shown by such supercars as Dodge Viper SRT-10 and Chevrolet Corvette (7 minutes 59 seconds), as well as Ferrari F430 (7 minutes 55 seconds).

The tuning studio Techart, which focuses exclusively on the automotive brands Porsche, announced a new tuning program for the Porsche Cayenne model and presented it at the Motor Show in Essen.

This program consists of external changes, as well as changes in the engine. As a result of the success of the Techart studio engineers, we are presented the Techart Magnum, the engine power of which reaches up to nearly 600 horsepower.

To ensure that the Cayenne looked more aggressive on the road – the front part got a new low-set bumper with a black-matte grate and deep planted beam headlamps and fog lamps. For a fiercer look care the integrated diaphragm of automobile headlamps, and the hood with integrated ventilation holes. Thanks to increased wheel arches Cayenne, it becomes eight centimetres larger than the basic option. Under these wide arches are discs of light alloys in a 22-inch format and with dimensions of 296/30 tires.

For the rear end of the car to look like the frontal part, the rear bumper received large openings, located on both sides, for the sport muffler, which diverges into two parts and ends in two self-immersed chrome pipes on the left and right. In addition, there are diaphragms composed of three parts, which are located on the rear headlamps and the trunk of Cayenne. A more harmonious transition between the front and the rear of the car is achieved by the deeply planted side channels.

For a more gentle and dynamic motion on the highway the sports suspensions of Cayenne have been modified. For a car with an air suspension there is a sports module with which the SUV may be displayed depending on the location and conditions. So while driving on a flat trail, you can put Cayenne lower by 60 mm. and when moving on a more hilly terrain it could be raised by 70 mm.

Along with an extensive program for the version Magnum, Techart offers two versions of “cheap-tuning” for the model Cayenne S. In the first version the V8 engine gets stronger by 20, which ultimately leads to 360 horsepower. The second option consists of increasing the power to 380 horsepower. The top-model Cayenne Turbo with the intervention of “cheap-tuning” has all the 510 horsepower. Those who are not satisfied with the figure 510 must wait a bit. At this point, by the engineers of Techart a new package of power is being developed called “TA 048/T3″, which has two powerful turbo-superchargers, a modernized system of cooling, a sport muffler from Techart and an otherwise tuned tact of air-suction. All this inner stuffing is complete with a new programmed Motronic and a sports air filter. Thus from all these stuffed details one whole is composed, which brings on balance all the 600 horsepower and maximum torque of 865 Nm. Due to its strength, the maximum speed of the new giant is 292 km/h and the leap up to 100 km/h occurs in only 4.5 seconds.

However, this German company that specializes in the super sports cars, has decided not to stop. In the second half of next year, Porsche will begin the production of the first hybrid in its history! It will also be a Cayenne, which would be called Cayenne Hybrid S.

According to a Board member of the company, Wolfgang Durhaimer, hybrid car will cost about 90 000 euro in Europe. Under the hood Cayenne Hybrid S will have a V6 petrol engine with the volume of 3.0 liters developed by the Volkswagen group, which delivers 333 hp (This unit is now set for Audi S4).

In combination with this device it will work an electric engine, which in convertion to kilowatt would be 52 hp. Total the car will have 385 hp (exactly the same now with 4.8-liter «G», which is tied for Cayenne S). Due to the hybrid motor the Cayenne can accelerate to 100 km /h in 6.8 seconds.

After the production of sports car Porsche Carrera GT has been canceled in 2006, a niche was put in the model line of the company that no one has held for 3 years. And here comes the information that Porsche plans to build a new supercar on the basis of the racing Spyder RS, which is involved in 24-Hours of Le Mans. This information is provided by L’Automobile magazine.

According to the received information, the length of the car is 4648 mm (this is 203 mm more than 911), and his body will be made of carbon fiber, which would reduce the maximum weight for sports car. The engine is also taken from Porsche RS Spyder, with V8 volume of 3.4 liters, and the power will be reduced from 503 of 10,000 per/min, up to 400 horsepower. That will be enough for easy road sports car.
