When it comes to the looks and the style of this concept car the lines of design are very aggressive. The design of the car is not as boxy as the other models like the Kia Souls that you find on the roads today. This car is one that exudes character and confidence at the same time. Car lovers would love to see this new concept version making its production debut however they still need to wait for the green signal by the car manufacturer to realize their dreams. Currently the designer pictures are only available and from the images we see this car sure does have a sporty and bubbly version.

The Track’ster is a car that is based on the well known and eccentric Kia Soul model. This car is a more sportier version of the above and it has a 247 bhp petrol engine. It was designed and created by the car manufacturer’s studio at California. Co-incidentally it was here where the original Soul was born. The designers of this future generation car has also produced the Soul’ster convertible that is a concept car that is currently under assessment before it gets the go ahead for production.

Both the Mercedes Benz and BMW continue to compete for the first place among the luxury automakers in the world. Mercedes has received the better of the two in the first month of the New Year. The 2012 Mercedes Benz C-Class has successfully helped the manufacturer rake up its sales.

It beated BMW and came second to Volkswagen in sales for the New Year. The best selling models of Volkswagen-the Jetta and Passat helped the manufacturer sell about 27,209 vehicles in the previous month. This came Volkswagen that is better known as the “people’s car brand” it’s best January ever since President Nixon was in office.

The M-Class series of the Mercedes Benz recorded a sales figure of 4002 units sold that is an increase of 6.1% over the number that was sold last year. The Bluetec diesel series of the car still continues to sell well and it recorded a sales figure of 1327 car models sold in the previous month. This meant a 62% increase from January 2011. The manufacturers of the Mercedes Benz did have a disappointment with the poor sales turn out of its pseudo minivan series-R Class as the sales figure was down by 44% compared to last year.

The above production version of the Ford B-Max is based on a similar platform as the Fiesta. The car has a body that is taller and longer and provides the driver with more practicality. Generally the Ford B-Max has doors that are sliding with no central pillar to provide simple access to the seats that are located at the rear of the car.

The door has been provided with additional strengthening through the roof. This has been down to compensate for the lack of a B-Pillar in the car. The manufacturers of this car are confident that the Ford B-Max will get a complete five-star Euro NCAP crash rating even though it lacks the presence of the central pillars and this is why according to the designer of the car Stefan Lamm, the doors have been strengthened.

The Ford has a new 3 cylinder 1.0 engine that is an Eco Boost one. This engine provides the car with CO2 emissions that are as low as 109g/km. The diesel engines of the Fiesta range will be available also from the manufacturer. The Ford B-Max concept car will go on for sale in the month of September and its prices are likely to begin at £13,000. This car will be on sale with its key rival car brands like Nissan Note, Citroen C3, Picasso and the Vauxhall Meriva.

There have been restrained changes done on the chassis of the car and it is currently restricted to the sports suspension kit. It has a 15mm drop in ride height along with modified dampers and springs. As per the project leader of the car’s technical team Torsten Oehmke the set up of the new car has the chance of being more extreme.

The drum brakes at the rear of the car in the concept and prototype are going to be upgraded to discs in the production car. Oehmke has also laid down that the production car can also be made in 3 and 5 door models.

There will also be visual changes that will include a novel bodykit that does away with the front bumper for a nose that is more aggressive. It will be complete with 911 turbo like running day lights. The bid central intake of the car includes a Golf GTI honeycomb resemblance. This is not for show as the car requires extra cooling for its new turbo charged version. Oehmke also suggests the presence of twin exhausts in the production car however this is just a possibility that can occur in the car.

This time Chevrolet has planned to show case two new concept cars at the Detroit Auto show. They have unveiled the Code 130R and the Tru 140S. Both of the coupes are designed to seat four people at a time. The fuel efficiency promised by the car engineers is 40 mpg. The Chevrolet engineers have seek public inputs for incorporating their interiors as both the concept cars do not have a particular interior to them.

The lay out of the Code 130R concept is more of a muscle car. It has two doors and rear wheel drive, where as the design of the Tru 140S is more of an exotic sports car with its front wheel drive, but the manufacturers have promised to keep it under the purchasing capacity of the common people. Both of the concept cars have incorporated 1.4 liter turbo engine with a 150 horse power capability.

The manufacturers have hinted that both the cars will be priced near about $ 20,000 each. There are several features incorporated in the cars as well, that is the outcome of the feedbacks and suggestions taken from the consumers they consulted while making these concepts. The inclusion of Wi Fi and the integration of smart phones have also suggested by the consumers and which have been hopefully included in the car as well.

The Detroit auto mobile show is an international platform for the unveiling of cars. It has made many cars show case to the common public for the first time, for instance like the renowned car manufacturing companies, Lincoln too has unveiled its latest concept car to the common mass. The new concept car by Lincoln is christened as the MKZ concept in Detroit. The appearance of the car is not much of a concept car it is more like a model of the existing cars and thus gives it a show room ready finish. The manufacturers have said that they have thought of taking the car to the people by the end of this year, the car will be put in to mass production in the second half of 2012.

The new MKZ concept has incorporated some of its attributes from the earlier design of the 1938 Lincoln Zephyr, even though the modern concept is far cry of the version that has been earlier produced. The roofline of the car is nothing like that of the traditional sedan, it has a panoramic glass sun roof which starts from the wind shield and ends at the top of the back light, this entire sun roof is integrated in to the super structure of the coupe quite efficiently giving it a more enhanced and edgy look.

The car is a four seater coupe. The transmission of this concept car has a gear selector which is operated through a push button; there is also a LCD 10.1 inch screen in front of the driver which functions on MY Lincoln touch operations. The car also has another LCD screen measuring 8 inches in the center of the car.

Just like any other car manufacturer, Volkswagen too does not leave a stone unturned to make the best of this show for themselves, even though the concept cars which run on electricity have taken a back seat but it has not made these car manufacturers to have second thoughts. Volkswagen is all set to unveil its electric concept car at the Detroit auto show for the first time to the common people. They have christened this new electric concept car and show cased it to the North Americans as the E-Bugster.

The look of the car is inspired from the new Beetle but it is not entirely the same to look at, the E- Bugster concept car is much more compact and sporty to look at. The new car has incorporated the bulbous look of the Beetle but it has a much more muscular look to it. This is because the engine of this car has a 114 horse power. The other specs of this car include some good features. The car gives out less than 100 miles per charge.

The concept car of Volkswagen is capable of getting its charge back with in a very small time. It can fill up 80% of its lost charge with in 30 minutes. Thus the quick charge capability is a plus point for the car. This is just a concept for the moment with no production in plan for the next year at least.
