It is impossible not to notice the nuclear-purple shocking body of the car which attracts eyes like a magnet. According to the official representatives of Citroen, Revolte was born to overthrow all established concepts and attitudes about a subcompact car. And, despite the fact that it is designed based on the model of the legendary 2CV, produced from 1948 to the 1990′s, it completely opposes it. If 2CV was characterized by simplicity in terms of technology, self-restraint in terms of design and quite undistinguished dynamics, then Revolte is positioned as a collection of the most advanced technologies and the dynamics and the embodiment of a bright new style.

All exterior and interior elements of the car are designed to surprise the audience – the doors torn off as a book, and half-flirtatious “eyes” head lights, and an unusual form of the steering wheel and instrument panel.

Citroen Revolte has compact dimensions for city: 3,68 m in length, 1.73 m in width and 1,35 m in height. As concepts presented in Frankfurt, Revolte is equipped with an electric engine, although in combination with an internal combustion engine, in other words it is a hybrid plant. On the hood of the concept are photo-galvanic cells for additional power for electronic devices.

Unfortunately, there is no detailed information about the operational characteristics of the concept. So we have only to guess if there is a real prototype of the future model of Citroen, or simply flirtatious French ploy to attract attention? What do you think?

It was only a year ago when the audacious sport car was introduced and amazed the audience of the Paris motor show. Then the guests of the exhibition crowded around the concept and all were wondered – whether this thing can really go or not. It turns out, that it can. The vehicle has recently demonstrates its abilities on one of the game tracks of Gran Turismo 5 – “London Street Circuit”. Just imagine those lucky ones who could see GT, and even watch it in motion.

Very soon other citizens of Grait Britain can also look at this French “madness” again. Citroen GT will be present at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

While some lucky (and not necessarily the residents of the Misty Albion) can even buy this “toy” car. Indeed, Citroen intends to issue a limited number of GT. However, the company has not released any on formation about the dates of the mass production of the vehicle and its cost.

The company is also planning to release a 3-door hatchback version of the car, which will be called Citroen DS3.
The appearance of the new C3 is a little like C4 Picasso, especially the front and rear lights of the cars look alike. One of the main features of new vehicle is a huge panoramic glass windscreen, amounting almost to the central pillar.

In general the design of the car is almost identical to DS Inside concept with the exception of small parts.

The length of the new C3 is 3.94 meters, while the width is 1.71 meters. For comparison, the dimensions of the current version of C3 are 3,86 meter long and 1.67 meters width. The trunk size of the new Citroen is 300 liters.

2010 model year Citroen C3 will be available for sale in the UK market early next year, and it is scheduled to premiere at Frankfurt motor show in September.

3-door version of DS3 will also appear in the market. In 2011 Citroen C3 will be equipped with a new generation stop-start system, which will reduce the rate of harmful emissions to 90 g/km (without the system the car provides almost 100 g/km CO2).

It is also known that the new Citroen C3 four petrol and four diesel units are included in the range of engines – including the 59-strong 1,1-liter petrol engine and the 108-strong 1,6-liter diesel engine.

According to the edition of Autocar, under the hood of the DS4 and DS5 are install engines from Citroen C4 and C5 models. In addition, DS4, which largely repeated the idea embodied in the concept car C-Sportlounge, will be available in four versions of a compact crossover with notes of sport in the external design. Citroen DS4 is already positioned as a competitor to its “fellow” Peugeot 3008 models.

Model C-Sportlounge is not the “fresh” concept of the French company. It was presented in 2005 at Frankfurt Motor Show.

In the design of the DS5 model enshrine appearance parts of conceptual Citroen Hypnos, shown in the last Motor Show in Paris. This masthead DS model line will be, perhaps, the diesel-hybrid drive.

And while up to serial production DS4 and DS5 are still a few years, the French company is ready to present the first representative of a new family the model DS3. The debut of ready-to-start car sales will take place at the next Auto Show in Frankfurt. Citroen will also bring to the show the updated model C3.

Powered with six-cylinder turbo diesel engine the new vehicle will have an output of 240 horsepower and a maximum torque of 450 Nm already available from 1600 rpm. Engine will be aggregated with six automatic transmission. According to Citroen, with such a power plant C5 and C6 cars will be able to disperse up to 100 km/h in only 7.9 and 8.5 seconds respectively, while their average fuel consumption will be about 7.4 liters per hundred kilometers of road. Emissions are CO2 – 195 grams per kilometer.
