On September 14, 2009 at Alsace Molsheyme, where the headquarters of Bugatti are located, a limited number of people, among whom were also the clients of this brand; were present at the introduction of Bugatti 16 C Galibier, which became the climax of the celebration of the centennial of the company. On this day, selected guests were able to assess the most exclusive and powerful 4-door car in the world.

Art. Shape. Technology. Ettore Bugatti and his son Jean were guided by these three principles in creating their vehicles. They wanted each successive model to be even better, stronger and faster. Thus they always uncompromisingly experimented with materials. Thus, Bugatti is one of the first auto manufacturers, who have used aluminum in engines, shell and wheels.

These same principles were used when creating Bugatti 16 C Galibier. For example, dark-blue elements of the body are made of carbon fiber and shiny fenders and doors are made of polished aluminum.

With this concept car Bugatti claims to win the leading position among the producers of 4-door cars.

Characteristic for this brand grille, large round lights and passing through the crest of a car shell resembles the classic Type 57, by Jean Bugatti.

Opening on both sides of the engine compartment lid hides an 8-liter W16 engine with two-stage compressor supercharging. This means that along with regular gasoline, it can run on ethanol. For the concept vehicle there are specially created ceramic brakes.

The interior design catches the eye; there are only two centrally located sets. They inform about the speed and power expended for their testimony can be observed even by rear passengers.

Especially for Bugatti 16 C Galibier Swiss manufacturer of luxury watches Parmigiani created a unique watch lined with a refined leather strap. In the car, it is placed in the center of the front console, but it can be removed and worn on the wrist. This element brings a special interior refinement.

“Galibier” means not only the hardest alpine pass, included in the bicycle races Tour de France. At one time this name belonged to unsurpassed, sporty and elegant 4-door version of Bugatti Type 57.

The representative of the Bugatti Company has mentioned a new Bordeaux concept sedan, as well as two more cars, in one of his latest interviews.

Bugatti Company firmly decided to release a new model, but has not yet determined what it will be. Italian manufacturer has already submitted teasers of the new Bordeaux concept sedan, but Bugatti has two other concepts. Next month, the company will first introduce Bordeaux to the public at the Frankfurt Motor Show. In case of negative acceptance, the company will implement other projects.

As for Bugatti Bordeaux, the car is likely to be equipped with the same 8.0-liter 1001-strong unit as Veyron. Recently, the media reported that in the basis of Bordeaux lies the platform of Bentley Mulsanne, presented recently in California. But the head of Bugatti Franz-Josef Paefgen denied this information.

“Bugatti Sedan will have completely different proportions and become a completely different concept. All Bugatti cars come out no more than 150 units of each model. This allows us to use completely different materials and technologies”, – noted Paefgen.

This model differs from the previously released Veyron by the removable roof – the driver is able to remove the central part of the roof, which is made of transparent plastic. In addition, the car is equipped with a small soft-top, in case the rain catches up. However, because of this soft top supercar will not be able to accelerate faster than 130 km / h (speed limited electronically). When the roof is closed, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport can reach 407 km/h, while speeds of up to 360 km/h are possible with the roof off.

From a technical point of view of Veyron Grand Sport is no different from the previous Veyron. The model will still have the W16 engine volume 8.0 liters, with four Turbine, which delivers 1001 hp and 1250 Nm.

Some of the new equipments of the car include a 2.7-inch monitor with a rear view camera and a Puccini sound system.

Only 150 open Veyron will be produced, the 50 of which will be sold to registered Bugatti customers. First deliveries are expected in July. According to some sources when the production of Veyron Grand Sport will be completed, the Bugatti will start to make new supercar, which will be revealed as a concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
