Tokyo 2009: Suzuki Alto

Suzuki has prepared a compact five-door hatch Alto Concept for Tokyo Motor Show which was held in late October. Together with other exhibits of the company, it will express the main idea of the stand: “Small cars for big future.”

Interior of the concept is very similar to the currently selling in markets model and according to the Japanese; it is almost ready to be delivered to the conveyor belt, which, by the way, will happen soon. What are the components of success that this car will have a great future?

Among the decisions that improve the consumer quality of Alto, – readable large speedometer, simple switches and floor gearshift lever instead of the more familiar paddles “pokers.”

These include the efficiency of the engine, minor emissions, enhanced performance, as well as convenience and ease of use. To achieve the above results, engineers of Suzuki, in general, tried first.

The current, seventh generation of the tiny hatchback Suzuki Alto, which is also known in some countries under the name Nissan Pixo, debuted at Paris Motor Show last year and was put on the market in December.

However, the development of the idea, which was materialized as soon as possible, does not indicate a generational change: the manufacturer decided to adapt the current model under its own internal requirements and industry standards, at least at home.
