Recently the presentation of the Romanian Renault’s budget brands, Dacia, held a presentation in Barcelona to unveil the new Sandero Stepway, compact hatch-crossover with high clearance. When looking at the Sandero Stepway you feel like it’s Dejavu and you are absolutely right – the car is actually the European version of Crossover Renault Sandero Stepway, produced for the South American market. Apparently, the French automaker was in such a hurry to withdraw the new model on the market that does not even change the name of the car.
The clearance of the new Stepway is 20 mm higher than that of conventional Sandero. The improvements that can be distinguished visually are made of iron and painted in body color bumper, new fog lamps, as well as protective linings for wheel arches and shiny chrome sills, exterior mirrors and door handles.
In a press release issued by the company, Dacia states that the characteristic black upholstery with visible white line and special inserts are used for the interior of the Stepway.
Depending on the country, Sandero Stepway crossover will be available with 1.6 liter gasoline engine powered with 90 hp and 1.5 liter dCi diesel powered with 70 hp. In most European countries, the sales of new Dacia model will start in coming September.
