Mercedes-Benz has not yet released a SLS AMG supercar, but started to think about the supercar’s electric version. Although, a little time remains until September when the Germans are, in fact, planning to take the wraps off the ideological successor to the famous “seagull” 300 SL. Perhaps it is worth beginning to work on a new car. Moreover, the development of the electric supercar takes a long time.
According to the director of the AMG studio Volker Mornhinweg, the new supercar will receive four electric engines with a total capacity of 532 horsepower. This installation will be at the expense of lithium-ion batteries.
By the way, the manufacturer promises up to 150-180 kilometers non-stop journey. After which you will certainly need to put the supercar’s battery to charge for 8 hours.
The dynamics of the car is said to be excellent. If the gasoline version can reach up to 100km/h in 3.8 seconds, the electrical car can do the same in 4 seconds, when the maximum speed of the car is 200 kilometers per hour.
AMG is going to deal with testing the power setup of the electric supercar at the end of this year. And by 2015, the Germans are planning to launch production of their new civilian car.
