German company Mercedes-Benz, competes with the BMW, in particular, the model X1 and prepares its smallest crossover called BLK, modeled by German journalists.
Mercedes-Benz BLK tentatively is scheduled to appear in the market in 2012 and take its place in the model number of German concern below the crossover GLK. It is anticipated that the design of the new vehicle, which will created based on a platform for B-Class, will be performed in a uniform style with the GLK.
According to the publication of Autobild, the car can be equipped with three turbo diesel engines powered with 175, 204 and 225 hp, as well as petrol engines powered with from 204 to 238 hp. Those customers who do not want traffic jams in the “pull” manual gearbox, the company will offer eight-automatic transmission.
It is expected that the new competitor of BMW X1 and Audi Q3 will cost approximately € 5 thousand cheaper than its “older brother” GLK.
