The three new engines with direct injection make Mercedes-Benz C-Class cars even more economic. These engines raise the vehicle characteristics and driving pleasure to a new better level, displaying noticeable fuel economy as well as high environmental performance.
The new engines impress with their low fuel consumption and, consequently, a high environmental performance, but at the same time, with their high capacity and unsurpassed pleasure of driving. The new sedan C 220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY, the most efficient C-Class of all pre-existing, is equipped with an engine capacity of 125 hp /170 with a working volume of 2143 cm ³ issuing 400 Nm of torque. The engine accelerates the car from 0 to 100 km /h in 8.4 seconds. It spends just 4.8 liters diesel per 100 km, which corresponds to 125 g CO2 per kilometer of road – and this is the best result in this category.
Direct injection is also used in the new engines fitted in the C 250 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY. Thus the car reaches the power of 150 hp/204 and torque of 310 Nm. With the new petrol-engine car accelerates from 0 to 100 km /h in 7.4 seconds. The engine consumes 7.2 liters of gasoline per 100 km, this corresponds to 168 g of carbon dioxide per kilometer of road.
