Chevrolet released the 1.5-millionth Corvette

The 1.5 millionth Corvette: 2009 Corvette ConvertibleOn Thursday the company Chevrolet has distributed information on the release of the 1.5-millionth copy of Corvette supercar. The car came down the conveyor in the plant in Kentucky in late May of this year, but the message of this event was delayed by manufacturer due to bankruptcy of General Motors.

The jubilee car will be sent to the National Museum of “Corvettes”, where are also presented the very first Chevrolet Corvette, built in 1953, the 500000th copy (1977 release) and the millionth copy (1992). 1.5-millionth Chevrolet Corvette is made in the same colors as the predecessors – white body with red interior.

As reported at the museum, the first Corvette – roadster C1 – was introduced in 1953. The car was equipped with a six-motor power of 150 horsepower and automatic transmission. Modern versions are offered with a super eight engine capacity from 430 to 638 horsepower, working in pairs with six automatic or mechanical transmissions.
