German automanufacturer Audi has announced details of the new model the 2010 Audi TT RS. The debut of the car took place at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2009, where the car was presented in two versions – coupe and roadster.
The car is equipped with a new 2.5-liter 5-cylinder turbo engine and develops maximum power of 340 hp. It also received a full system drive quattro.
According to the automanufacturer, 2010 TT RS is the most powerful and fastest version of the model.
Coupe accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, while the Cabriolet spends 4.7 seconds to reach that speed. According to Audi the maximum speed of the two versions of TT RS is 250 km/h, while in fact the vehicle can develop up to 280 km/h.
Fuel consumption of the TT RS coupe is 9.2 liters per 100 km, the roadster is spending a bit more – 9.5 liters per 100km.
The basic version of the vehicle is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, while as an option 19 or even 20-inch wheels will be available as an option.
As previously reported, the new model has a new front air, the other cone and fixed rear spoiler. Sports suspension lowers the car by 10 mm.
Inside, the steering wheel and sport seats have leather cover and are decorated with Alcantara.
The price of the car was also announced: TT RS Coupe will start from 55 800 euro in Europe, and TT RS Roadster will be priced from 58 650 euro. The sales of coupe and convertible will start in the European market this summer.
